Ruchel served as co-executive editor of NEW YOU, a national lifestyle magazine focused on the interrelated worlds of health, style and beauty, from 2010 - 2017. During that period, she also oversaw all editorial content on the enthusiastically received website, newyou.com. Her cover interviews with an international cadre of celebrities and influencers received national and international press. Under her direction, NEW YOU received the renowned Ozzie award for “Most Improved Magazine in 2014.” She has also appeared on NBC, CBS and ABC for NEW YOU and has had articles published on CNN.com, Huffington Post, USA Today and Daily Mail amongst others.

Film, TV & Multimedia

In 1994, while interning at the Comcast cable channel in Fort Lauderdale, Ruchel produced the community report, interviewing visiting celebrities and local politicians.

In 1995, Ruchel’s lifelong dream of interviewing people around the world became a reality with Successful Images, a multimedia production company she created together with two other industry professionals. As CEO and co-founder, Ruchel was invited to sit on numerous educational and charitable boards, has been a guest speaker at events, and has mentored many aspiring students in the field of multimedia production.

In 1996, Ruchel helped produce a travel documentary in South Africa for the Latin Travel Channel. She negotiated the hotels and travel destinations in South Africa and then accompanied the Spanish crew on location.

Co-Producer

In 2006 Ruchel helped pull investors together to co-produce the movie, Gringo Wedding. Shot on location in Miami, USA and Bogota, Columbia, Gringo Wedding went on to win several film festival awards.

Ruchel has also worked as co-producer on several other productions for television.
